Factual Information Regarding Radiation and Sun Chlorella Products

1. How far away is the Sun Chlorella factory from the Fukushima Daiichi power plant?

   Our manufacturing facility is located near Otsu city in the Shiga prefecture which represents a distance of approximately 325 miles away.

2. Has there been any radioactivity detected near the factory?

   There has been no radioactivity detected at all near the factory. For added peace of mind, feel free to check the monitoring and observe the data of the environmental radioactivity level at Otsu at this website managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). MEXT is an extremely reliable source.

3. Do Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) involve checking for radiation?

   GMP does not involve a check for radiation; however all Sun Chlorella products are manufactured in compliance with the Food Supplement (GMP) that are based on pharmaceutical product standards.

4. Are products leaving the factory checked for radiation?

   Prior to leaving the facility in Japan, we check for radiation randomly and Cesium (radioactive element) has never been detected. By checking the monitoring link of the Shiga prefecture (near Otsu city) we can ensure that no radioactivity is present.

5. Has any radiation been detected in Taiwan?

   The production of our products takes place in Taiwan, which is 2,100 miles away from Japan, so the growing of our chlorella is not impacted.
   
   There have been regular testing (especially after the tragedy in Japan) for radiation by the factory in Taiwan and there has been absolutely no detection. We regularly check for radioactivity based upon the Atomic Energy Council’s (Taiwan) analysis, which is a very reliable source. No numerical value that would have any influence on the human body has been detected.
